Over the years I have worked for Airsoft GI, I received a lot of questions regarding mil-sim (military simulation) events, such as the famous John Lu’s Operation Lion Claws Series. The questions I received are mostly on guns and gears. So I decided to do an article of what equipment I would use and recommend using at military simulation events such as the Lion Claws Series. The equipment will include guns and essential accessories.

If you have been following the GITV Blog, you would know that I am a huge G-Code Holster fan. I like their superior RTI (Rapid Transition Interface) mounting platform, which allow the operator quickly change holsters when necessary. As most of you know, I am a huge firearm enthusiast and go to the range and shoot regularly. One of the things that I must do is to test out my gear at the range. Over the years, I tested out numerous holsters; Condor, Blackhawk, Safariland, G-Code, Raven Concealment etc. after extensive testing, I have found the perfect holster set up for myself for both airsoft and real steel shooting.

Springfield Armory is one of the oldest firearm manufacturers in the United States. Founded in 1777, Springfield Armory provided the United States Military, allied forces, law enforcement agency, and responsible civilian shooters all over the world with quality firearms. They made the famous M1A, the semi-automatic version of the M14, and their 1911s are as well known as their M1A rifles. But in 2002, Springfield acquired the licensing and started to produce the Springfield XD series. However, the XD series did not become popular until 06 or 07. That is, until Springfield Armory released the XD(M) in 2009 that attracted a lot of attention in the shooting community.
