KWA M226 P.T.P.

If you are hardcore Navy SEALs fans, Die Hard fans, or even just Sig Sauer fans in general, then you will most certainly appreciate the newly re-launched version of the M226 by KWA USA. KWA first released a full metal airsoft M226 back in 2007, but it was neither mass produced, nor made into much of a big deal at the time. It seemed that KWA actually did very little to promote the gun back in 2007, and as a result, very few people actually knew about its existence. Shortly after its initial release, the KWA M226 disappeared from the market for a while, that is, until about last week. Last week, I overheard the Airsoft GI purchasing department mentioning that the KWA M226 was back in stock, so I immediately went out to the warehouse and searched for this magnificent gas blow back pistol.

Flashlight – Life Essential

When things go wrong, they go wrong fast. Statistically speaking, bad things happen in low light situations, such as crimes like burglaries and home invasions. Having the right equipment can mean the difference between life or death. This is the reason weapon mounted lights are so important, especially in a home defense situation. I purchased two Surefire X300s (170 lumens) for my Kimber 1911 and my Glock 17, a Surefire Scout Light (200 lumens) for my AR-15 and a Surefire LED Flashlight (80 lumens) on my Remington 870 shotgun. For home defense, whichever weapon I grab, there will be a light on it. I also carry a Surefire flashlight (200 lumens) with me as my EDC (Everyday Carry). Carrying a flashlight every day is very helpful, and I was glad that i was carrying that Surefire flashlight with me during one of my ride alongs where I was helping an officer search for drug paraphernalia (a crack pipe) in a dark location.  I may have spent a little bit of money on my flashlight collection, but having the right tools for the job at hand is priceless.

ICS M4 – Splitting It in Half

If you have been following the GITV Blog then you’ll know that I have just mentioned how the great company ICS has improved over the years. I have also mentioned that ICS is the original company that created a split gearbox design for their M4 AEG Series. Like I have said before, the public has a love-hate relationship with the split gearbox design. People who own it loved it and people who do not hate it. Well, this article is dedicated to admire the beauty of the ICS M4, and I am going to turn the gun inside out and show you how amazing this split gearbox design really is.

Officer Involved Shooting – Airsoft Related?

There is a senate bill in California right now that is trying to ban airsoft in Los Angeles County. SB1315 was created to prevent law enforcement from accidentally shooting civilians with airsoft guns. Supporters of SB1315 think that by banning airsoft guns they will eliminate all police shootings involving citizens with airsoft guns. This bill is a knee jerk reaction to an officer involved shooting a few years ago in Los Angeles County. It is like blaming the pencil for misspelling words. One of the many important things I have learned in my academic career as a criminal justice major is that crime control policy usually does not work the way it intended to be, and the policy generally get tied up at the Supreme Court, resulting in spending millions of tax payer’s dollars. The policy does not usually work for criminals, because a determined criminal will commit the crime even if the policy is in effect. SB1315 will end up punishing law abiding citizens instead of the criminals.
