How ASGI Marq got into Tech work

It’s one thing to know how to install aftermarket parts. It’s another to know how they all work together. Originally, when I began playing airsoft, like most people, would go to their nearest sporting good store to purchase their airsoft gun. Little did I know that Airsoft GI was close to home. The first airsoft gun that I purchased was a JG M4A1. I have to say I was a bit surprised that the gun had a velocity of over 380 feet per second. Sure enough Airsoft Playground in El Monte had a 350 fps limit so I had to do something to drop the feet per second. Then and there I always wondered how to customize my own airsoft gun. Not just simply decreasing the muzzle velocity but by increasing rate of fire and reliability.

There were many tutorials online but where I learned and understood most is from the people I knew that already had the tech mindset. I was given tips and pointers of some basics when it came to disassembling the gun then I adapted and learned more on my own, mainly through trial and error. Some days it was very tedious, but as time went by I learned a few tips and tricks when it came to replacing other internal components. I once thought that I knew it all, however, ever since I started working at Airsoft GI, I have gained so much more knowledge from our world class tech department.

Assault on Antioch Warn Order

AoA_poster2-big (1) A lot of folks who were not at Assault on Antioch were curious how the game was setup and what the specific objectives were. To give an overview, I’ve decided to post the Warn Order that was issued to game control in order to give a fuller view on what the weekend’s objectives were.

Before you read the Warn Order you might as well check out our first teaser video showing off some of the action footage from the game: Well, without further ado, here is the Warn Order:

Storyline:

A super volcano has erupted out of Yellowstone National Park, covering the majority of the United States in ash and darkness for an estimated three to five years. This has affected all aspects of normal every day life. Food prices have skyrocketed as crops are destroyed due to lack of sunlight. A majority of animal life in the Western United States is no longer able to sustain itself in an eco system that has been ripped apart, and the fabric of civil society has been rent asunder with the complete collapse of local and state governments.

Emergency sustainment zones have already been quietly built all across the United States for the continuation of the American way of life in just such a disaster. Unfortunately because of widespread civilian casualties and a nation-wide communications breakdown due to the volcanic eruption, basic civil services, power, as well as water infrastructure, along with the rule of law have collapsed all across the Western US. Groups of armed civilians flock to the last remaining shelters against devastation on the West coast.

The last remaining emergency sustainment zone remains open and untouched in Antioch, CA. Two caravans of armed civilians now head toward its fully stocked caverns from both the north and the south with room enough for only one group. The fight is on for survival. Do you have what it takes to weather the storm? Continue reading

Gloves that Bob The Axe Man uses

tgh1 Over my decade and a half of playing airsoft I have had the chance to try out many different pairs of gloves and as such I feel confident talking to all of you about what I use and why. Firstly, I actually have about three sets of gloves that I currently use right now and find myself switching to for different reasons. These gloves are the following: Mechanix MPACT 2012 gloves, Mechanix MPACT gloves, V-Tac Armored Half Finger gloves. mpact 2012 Now, I generally have multiple versions of the same item in my armory because they fulfill different mission requirements. The Mechanix MPACT 2012 gloves are the main set I use for the vast majority of my operations. This is for a number of reasons, but mainly because they provide the best combination of dexterity and protection. They also look the coolest which is, if you know me, also a big factor in my decision making process. mpact

AAR Rebel Training Camp: Northern Resistance Game 3

)
So, this is where the day got really crazy! Both games 3 & 4 had not only the capture rules in effect, but they also had multiple vehicles, rocket launchers, and C4 props. Overall the games were very exciting, however, because of all the extra things we decided to throw in, it certainly got to be a little bit harder to follow even for myself.

game 3

The scenarios for Games 3 & 4 were essentially the same with each team switching sides and objectives so that both teams got equal time fighting with and then against vehicles.
